While troubleshooting a few WTware thin clients recently, I started wondering whether hardware temperature could influence overall system stability. Most discussions focus on network configuration, BIOS settings, or drivers, but thermal conditions may also play an important role, especially on older hardware.
I recently came across information about thermal management solutions and how improved cooling can help maintain stable CPU performance during continuous operation. Since many WTware terminals run for long periods without being restarted, I wonder if inadequate cooling could contribute to freezes, slow boot times, or unexpected system behavior.
Has anyone here noticed better stability after cleaning cooling systems, replacing thermal paste, or improving airflow inside older thin clients or PCs?
I'm especially interested in experiences with Dell, HP, or other x86-compatible devices running WTware. It would be useful to know whether hardware cooling has ever solved issues that initially appeared to be software-related.
